Estas são as definições que meu amigo Salt Water Jim pediu que eu postasse. É engraçado, não existe um equivalente para elas em inglês... Como também não tem tradução para 'saudade'!

Tell me what they said. To us, "horta" is the place where you plant vegetables and spices, but it´s small sized. If you have a larger area, it´s a "plantação" (plantation?). "Jardim" (garden) is just the place where you plant flower and ornamental things, not food. At the old times, we used to have a "jardim" in front of the house and a "horta" in the yard.
